Hawk Talk to focus on agribusiness on 3/13

Tom_CoyleMarist High School's Explore program will host a Hawk Talk on Tuesday, March 13, at 7pm in the RedHawk Theater.

Tom Coyle '74 is the newly appointed Country Manager USA for Cofco International (CIL). Having served as the general manager for Nidera’s North American Grain & Oilseeds business, he was appointed to his current position as part of the acquisition of Nidera BV by Cofco International. Cofco International is Cofco’s overseas management and investment platform in agribusiness. In this capacity, he oversees the company’s US grain origination and marketing activities, operation of its two export facilities located in Chicago, Illinois and Milwaukee, Wisconsin, a new high-speed rail to barge transload facility in Cahokia, Illinois and the company’s US export sourcing in the US Gulf and PNW.

Coyle will highlight the range of opportunities in business and the evolution of his career. His undergraduate degree from DePaul University in Chicago is in accounting, which he believes created a great foundation, but most of his career has been unrelated to accounting. He received his master’s degree in business administration from the University of Dayton (Ohio).
