"The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page." – St. Augustine
Marist offers several opportunities for students to travel both for enrichment and pleasure. Over the past few years, this has come to include exchanges with a handful of schools. By immersing themselves in the language and culture of other countries, students are able to translate classroom lessons into real life experiences, and understand the greater world around them.
Recent travel abroad destinations include England, France, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Morocco, and Spain.
Marist sponsors the following exchange programs:
Colegio Champagnat – Buenos Aires, Argentina
Sainte Marie-Lyon – Lyon, France
Instituto Champagnat – Genova, Italy
San Leone Magno – Rome, Italy
Centro Mundo Lengua– Seville, Spain
Collegi Maristes– Barcelona, Spain
Travel abroad opportunities are announced the year before the trip so that families can plan ahead. Students interested in participating in the exchange programs, which are typically 10 to 14 days, should ask their language teacher.
