"It is not in
the stars to hold
our destiny, but
in
ourselves."
--William
Shakespeare

Choosing a high
school is an
important decision
for students and
their families.
There are a variety
of questions about
visiting the school,
the entrance exam,
and the application
process. Plus,
a high school needs
to feel right - a
place where students
find friendship,
knowledge, and a
sense of belonging.
This section covers
all of those
questions - from the
FAQs about
how to attend
Marist, to the top
10 things you should
do as you
get to know Marist.
One of the best ways
to get to know
Marist is by
participating in our
shadow program,
Fridays at Marist.
Students can spend
the day with a
current Marist
freshman or
sophomore and see
what life is like in
a a typical day at
Marist.
Fridays at Marist
run from September
19 through December
12. Students
must register in
advance in order to
attend. You'll also need to
submit a
permission
slip to Marist High
School. Click
on the Fridays at
Marist link above
for more information to
download a
permission slip as a
.pdf file.
Attending an Open
House is another
excellent
opportunity for
students and their
families to get to
know Marist.
It offers a chance
to speak with
current students,
teachers and coaches
about life at
Marist.
Information about
our excellent
athletics and
activities is also
available, as well
as a tour of our
spectacular campus.
Marist will hold two
Open House events
this fall. The
first will be on
Sunday, October
19th, and the second
will be on Sunday,
November 23rd.
Both will run from
noon until 3pm.
Prospective students
and their families
are encouraged to
attend. Please
arrive by 2:15pm to
receive a tour of
our campus.
If you have any
questions, please
call Mrs. Alex
Brown, Director of
Admission at
773.881.5330.
