When is the
Entrance Exam?
The Entrance Exam
will be held at
Marist on Saturday, January
14, 2012, as
scheduled by the Archdiocese
of Chicago.
In order to
be considered for
admission to Marist
High School
prospective students
are required to test
at Marist.
The Office
of Admissions
reserves the right
to consider
applications after
the January test
date.
What Entrance Exam
is administered at
Marist?
Marist High
School administers
the HSPT Entrance
Exam. Study
Guides can be
purchased through
neighborhood
bookstores. Be
certain the study
guide includes the
HSPT Entrance Exam.
What is the
application
process?
On the day of the
Marist Entrance
Exam, students are
given a packet of
information which
includes an application for
admission (an
essay and
background
information) and
an authorization
form for grammar
school
records.
Students are to
fill out the
requested
information and
return it to
Marist with the
$150 application
fee (refundable if
not accepted) by
the deadline date,
typically in
mid-January.
What criteria are
used to determine
acceptance to
Marist?
Criteria used
for decisions
regarding acceptance
and placement
include results of
the HSPT Entrance
Exam taken at Marist
and 7th and 8th
grade grammar school
records.
When will I
know that I've been
accepted at Marist?
Letters of
acceptance are
mailed this year on
February 15, 2012 as
set by the
Archdiocese of
Chicago.
