Friday is a RedHawk Rowdy dress down day for the winter sports rally.  You must wear your RedHawk rowdy shirt.

 

Herff Jones will be here today during lunch mods to collect final payments for junior ring.

 

Junior class mass rsvp forms are due no later than this Friday to the SLO.

 

The next driver’s ed class will begin next Monday in room 220 immediately after school.  The class list is posted on the website and outside the SLO.

 

Relay for Life is in a week.  Sign up now at relayforlife.org. Team Captain meeting is Monday, February 26, after school in the SLO.  Team captains must attend or see Mrs. Pochyly in the SLO. Bank Afternoon is Wednesday, February 28, from 2:30-4:30 in the SLO.  Bank Afternoon is an opportunity to turn in your money before the Relay for Life event so you don’t have to wait in line to get in. 

 

Attention Seniors! Are you planning on attending Moraine Valley Community College next year? Or would you like to take a summer course before leaving for college? A representative from Moraine Valley will be here today to help you register and answer your questions. Please see Mrs. Myers or Mrs. Peterson immediately following this announcement to sign up for an appointment. Thank you!

All Cast of West Side Story, please check the call board. The rehearsal schedule has been updated.  Full Cast should report Thursday for a singing rehearsal.

Marist community - Save the date for Explore's next Hawk Talk on March 13th at 7pm in the Redhawk Theater. Alum Tom Coyle will discuss his career in business and agribusiness. See flyers around school or Mrs. McArdle for more details.

 

Attention all Bulls fans and speech team enthusiasts! The Marist Speech and Acting team will be raffling off a set of Bulls tickets for the March 5 game against the Celtics. Four seats in rows E and D in section 107 will be raffled off. These floor seats also come with a parking pass. The price is $3 for one ticket, $5 for 2 tickets, and $10 for 5tickets. We have EXTENDED the raffle and the winning ticket will be drawn on Friday, February 23. See Ms. Paoletti in Room 128 or any of the Speech and Acting team members to purchase.

Attention Model UN:

 

Thursday come to Room 225 RIGHT AFTER SCHOOL to take the year book picture that will be in the 2017-2018 year book.  The picture will take a few minutes so the sooner you all get there the better.

 

We will have our regular Friday meeting this week in room 212 with Mrs. Jorgensen.  If you attending LYMUN, be sure to get your parents to sign the permission located in the LYMUN folder in showbie.

 

Calling all Cooking Club Members! Group 1 will meet today, Thursday, February 22, at 2:30 in the CAFE. Any questions? See Ms. Silva.

 

The Marist Technology Club is raffling off a Gaming PC. Everything you need to get yourself online and in the game!  You can buy tickets during lunch mods this week through Thursday.  The winner will be drawn during the Rally on Friday.  Tickets are $2 for one, $5 for four, or $10 for ten!

 

You can’t win if you don’t buy! Good luck to everyone.

ITALIAN CLUB: Ciao! today, Thursday, the Italian club will meet to discuss a project about Italian regions, fun facts, and food. See you in room 223 at 2:30pm.

Sports

Congratulations to the boys basketball team who defeated Marian Central Catholic on Senior Night 63-35. The RedHawks are now 24-4 on the season.

 

State playoffs begin next Tuesday at Marist at 7 PM. Come out and support your RedHawks!

 

Freshman and Sophomore baseball tryouts start Monday, February 26th, at 5:45 a.m.   Varsity tryouts will be at 2:45.  All levels should bring clothes for inside and outside every day.

 

Attention all current Marist football players.  There will be a mandatory meeting immediately after school in the theater from 2:25 to 2:35.  All football players, even if you participate in a winter sport, are expected to attend this short meeting.  Information about the football banquet and the offseason program will be discussed at the meeting.
