Attention Seniors:

 

This is a reminder to bring in COPIES of all your acceptance letters and scholarship awards to Mrs. Gainer in the Guidance Office by next Friday, May 4th. Please bring in all letters, even from colleges that you are not attending. We want to track all acceptance and scholarship information.

 

Scholarships will only be listed in the Graduation booklet if you bring in your award letters so don’t

disappoint your parents, bring your letters in tomorrow!

Next Monday, 4/30 there will be a Mock Trial meeting for all interested in a field trip to a court house and / or participating in competition next year. Pizza will be served so please RSVP with Mrs. McArdle if you plan to attend.

Are you interested in attending GW, Georgetown, Duke, North Carolina, Howard, or other schools in D.C. and the surrounding area? Come to an informational meeting on Wednesday, May 2nd at 7pm in room 113 to find out more about this 2019 college trip! See Mrs. McArdle for a flyer or more information.

Boys JV tennis players are reminded to be at the courts at 3:15 p.m. today for the match against Iliana Christian.

On Thursday, the Marist Boys Varsity Track and Field TEAM traveled to Carl Sandburg High School. Marist Senior David Daniels earned a MEDAL with a personal best Triple Jump of 44'7. Daniels is now within 0'3.5 (44'10.5) of the Marist Varsity School Record! Marist Senior Justin Williams earned a MEDAL in the Long Jump with a leap of 20'05. Marist Senior Steven Rowe WON the High jump with a jump of 6'0. Marist Freshman Jovan Marsh, Sophomore Keyon Turner, Senior Martin Smith, and Junior Kendric Nowling earned Medals in the 4x100m Relay with an official time of 43.84. The RedHawks were within 0.71 of a second of the Varsity 4x100m Relay School Record. Sophomore Brian Ferguson broke his own SOPHOMORE SCHOOL RECORD in the 400m dash with a PERSONAL BEST time of 50.91. Sophomore Thomas Leonard BROKE THE SOPHOMORE SCHOOL RECORD in the 1600m run with a personal best time of 4:26.77. The record lasted 36 years! The record was previously held by Alumni legend Mark Diamond (1982, 4:28.3)

Attention all dancers:  Poms tryouts will take place Saturday, May 5, at 7:00 a.m.  You must complete both the Google Form AND register via 8 to 18 on the athletic website in order to be able to tryout.  See Coach Placas in room 210 if you have any questions.
