The DisAbility Defenders are currently looking for new members to join their organization. The Disability Defenders are a student-based group which aims to create a fun and innovative atmosphere for those with physical and mental disabilities. This year, they are hosting their 3rd annual DisAbility Day at Marist High School which includes food, games, live bands and lot of fun. In addition, a dress down day will be happening May 4th to show support for DisAbility Day. Forms can be found in Deacon Andy’s office if interested. Thank you!

Would you like to spend next year’s spring break exploring Barcelona, Provence, the French Riviera, Florence, and Rome?  If you register by May 15, 2018, you will get a $175.00 early enrollment discount off of the total price of this amazing trip.  See Mrs. Cox in guidance for information. 

Senior prom tables are due tomorrow.

 

Student Council elections will take place tomorrow during homeroom.

 

Attention all boys interested in playing Sophomore football next season.  There will be a short meeting in room 121 immediately after school today, Wednesday, May 2nd.  Final summer practice schedules will be distributed at this time.  Please see Coach Fortner with any questions.

Interested in a college trip to Duke, North Carolina, GW, Georgetown, or Howard? All students and their parents are welcome to an informational meeting today, Wednesday, May 2nd at 7pm in room 113. If you have a conflict but are still interested in the trip, please see Mrs. McArdle in her office this week. 

Attention Seniors:

 

This is a reminder to bring in COPIES of all your acceptance letters and scholarship awards to Mrs. Gainer in the Guidance Office by Friday, May 4th. Please bring in all letters, even from colleges that you are not attending. We want to track all acceptance and scholarship information.

ITALIAN CLUB:

Come to Italian club tomorrow Thursday 3rd to have fun with Karaoke! We will be singing Italian songs, so practice your pronunciation and get ready to perform.

In room 223 at 2:30pm.

Hola, Bonjour! Do you like movies?

 

Come to the 2nd Annual World Language Film Festival this week to see original comedies, dramas, and thrillers made by Spanish and French 4 students. The festival will take place today and Friday during lunch mods in the Redhawk Theater.

 

So come on down and enjoy the show!

 

ATTENTION ALL MEMBERS OF THE SPANISH NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY

Feliz Cinco de Mayo! We will have a senior appreciation party, present them with their honor chords and have lots of food. See you this Friday May 4th at 2:30pm in Rm 211!

Sports

JV Tennis players playing in today’s match at Oak Lawn should meet by the courts at 3:15 p.m.

 

Attention all dancers:  Poms tryouts will take place Saturday, May 5, at 7:00 a.m.  You must complete both the Google Form AND register via 8 to 18 on the athletic website in order to be able to tryout.  See Coach Placas in room 210 if you have any questions.

 

The boys volleyball team defeated St. Viator last night behind Rob Staszewski, Colin Tracy, and Marty Sullivan. The boys will host Benet on Thursday at 6:15 pm!
