2020 IDEA Pitch Winners

The winning teams for Marist’s Innovative Design for Entrepreneurial Applications (IDEA) class were announced by Principal Larry Tucker ’79 on May 15. All of the teams worked extremely hard this year developing their problem-solving skills that will be carried through their college years and beyond.

Senior and junior students enrolled in this course create and fully develop their own product or service. Student teams work through the process of ideation, market research, and business plan development. They learn how to create a product that solves a problem, customer input/data usage, competitive considerations, financial modeling, marketing, and operational execution. This is a hands-on course created to allow students to imagine, design, construct, market, and refine their own business ventures.
