Marist High School's Guidance Department will host the last workshop of a series of three for parents and community members aimed at empowering parents to foster respect, responsibility, resilience, and self-reliance in their children.
The final workshop will take place on Thursday, April 11 at 7:00 p.m. in the Marist ARC. The format will again be a discussion-based process that will allow parents to interact with each other as they proactively anticipate and plan for a variety of situations and circumstances that may affect their teen during the high school years.
The theme of the 2018-2019 workshop series is based on Sean Covey's bestseller The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens. Each workshop will feature one to two habits interwoven with practical parenting strategies.
The first session was held on Thursday, October 11 and a second on January 12.
The workshops are open to current and incoming Marist parents and all community members. Attendees are asked to register in advance and should enter at the main office at the west end of the campus, 4200 West 115th Street in Chicago.
