Visual Arts

Marist offers a wide variety of opportunities for students to explore, strengthen, and expand their artistic talents. Through a rich visual art program with excellent facilities, students can learn hands-on about each discipline with the mentoring of our experienced art teachers. There are 14 visual art courses offered including pottery, painting, drawing, photography, and more.

  • Murphy Art Center Gallery
  • Painting & Drawing Studio
  • Pottery Studio with kiln
  • Computer lab for graphic design and photography

Additionally, there are groups and events for students: 

  • Art Club- This group is open to all students and meets after school. They create needed items for school events and complete art projects that tap into their skills and creativity
  • National Art Honor Society- Induction into this group is by invitation based on their achievement in the study of art
  • Senior Art Show- Held in the spring, this showcases each senior art student’s portfolio
