Marist High School's varsity cheerleading team has advanced to this weekend's IHSA state competition.
The team took second at the highly competitive sectional at Niles West High School on February 1, which qualified them for state.
They will compete in the preliminary round on Friday, February 7. The doors open at 2:30 p.m. and competition begins at 3:30 p.m. Marist's floor time is approximately 4:50 p.m. The top ten teams from Friday will compete on Saturday, February 8.
The state competition is held at Grossinger Motors Arena in Bloomington, Ill. Please note their clear bag policy. All tickets are $10 per person per day and are sold at the door and online.
For those who cannot make it downstate, the competition will be aired live on NFHS for a fee.
