Fall Athletic Signing

Nine Marist High School seniors participated in a signing ceremony at the school on Wednesday, November 9, to commit to their respective college athletic programs. Parents, coaches and school administrators were in attendance.

Marist’s basketball program had four student-athletes sign. Claire Austin, a forward, will play for Davenport University. Shooting guard Caily Landers will continue her career at St. Mary’s University in Winona, Minn. Teammates and twin sisters Julia and Kate Ruzevich, a shooting guard and strong forward, respectively, will play for Quincy University.

Softball player Alexis Rogers will join the University of Tennessee at Martin team as a third baseman.

Maddie Dunterman, a middle blocker for Marist volleyball, will attend and play for Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Penn.

Baseball players Matt Donahue and Colin Pfotenhauer, who both field and pitch, also signed. Donahue will play for Roosevelt University, while Pfotenhauer will play for Taylor University in Upland, Ind. Elijah Hynes was unable to attend the ceremony, but will play in the outfield for Concordia University-Chicago.

Additionally, Marist senior Hannah Tapling will continue her equestrian career at Texas A&M University. She currently rides at Eppers Stable in Grayslake, Ill., under trainer Brad Kearns.
