Do not forget about our mandatory rehearsal at 2:30pm in the main gym today, Monday Oct 15th for our induction ceremony run through. Thank you in advance for arriving on time so we can dismiss you as soon as the run through is over!

Attention all Student Ambassadors:

There will be a meeting regarding Open House on Wednesday, October 17, immediately after school in the Main Gym.  This will be the only meeting prior to Open House and all sophomore, junior and senior ambassadors should be in attendance.  See Mrs. Brown with any questions.

Attention Sophomores and Juniors:

Marist will offer a practice ACT test, Saturday, November 10th, at 8 A. M.

For those who want to get an indication of how they might do on the real thing.

Sign up starting Monday, October 15 with Brother Brice in the Guidance Office.

Cost is $10. Cash or checks can be made out to Marist High School.

Today is the Lunch & Law Hawk Talk! If you signed up, please be prompt to the Main Office Conference Room during your lunch mod. Pizza will be served, or you are welcome to bring your own lunch.


Wednesday, 10/17 there will be a Mock Trial meeting from 2:45-3:45 in room 113. See Showbie for what we will cover.


Reminder:  There will be a meeting for students and parents regarding the On Mediterranean Shores spring break trip on Tuesday, October 16th at 6:30 pm in the theater.

Science Club will meet to do a dissection on Wednesday in Lab 217.  Please join us right afterschool on Wednesday and bring a friend too!

For the second consecutive year, the RedHawk Girls Tennis team are Runner-Ups in the IHSA Sectional Tournament! 


Our Marist State Qualifiers are: 


Nicole Micklin: Sectional singles CHAMPION

Bella Rabianski and Kat Balchunas: third place in doubles 


For the first time since 2011, the Marist Varsity Men Cross Country TEAM finished in SECOND place at the ESCC Championships on Saturday. Five Marist Varsity athletes earned Medals and All Conference honors, including: Junior Thomas Leonard (3rd), Senior Lucas Pennix (16th), Junior Luke Hortsman (21st), Senior Colin Tracy (22nd), and Junior Caleb Davis (23rd). In the Sophomore race, Freshman Andrew Kerlin (10th), and Sophomore Jonathan Rivera (23rd) earned Medals and All Conference honors. In the Junior Varsity race, Senior Aidan Dillon (12th) earned a Ribbon and All Conference honors. The RedHawks will be preparing for the IHSA Regional Championships this week.


At the ESCC Girls Championship, the women’s cross country teams placed 2nd in the Varsity and Frosh-Soph races.  The Varsity team had 4 all conference athletes:  Nora McClorey in 5th, Jillian Borza in 9th, Amanda Tracy in 12th place, and Lindsey Richter in 14th place.  The Frosh-Soph team placed 7 runners in the award stand with Nora McNicholas in 5th place, Emma Karczewski in 6th place, Sarah Hughes in 11th place, Grace Allocco in 12th place, Maggie Donegan in 13th place, Natalie Palmer in 15th place and Kathleen Boyle in 18th place.

Attention wrestlers, the season officially begins in November. Any athletes interested in trying out for wrestling must have a physical on file with the athletic office and must register online at the Marist athletics web page.

Any students interested in being a manager for the wrestling team please see Mr. Heffernan in room 132.
