Daily Announcements 10/2/18

Attention students, fan bus sign ups for the Marist vs. Nazareth football game will be available during all lunch mods outside the SLO. Let’s pack the stands for a big conference match up.

There will be an Open Gym (Field) for all girls interested in lacrosse today, Tuesday, October 2nd from 6:30-8:30 p.m..

We are making dinner at the Ronald McDonald House Tuesday, October 9.  Come to the SLO for a permission form and see Mrs. Pochyly with questions.

The Explore program is hosting an in-school Hawk Talk on Monday, October 15th during lunch mods for anyone interested in a career in law. Alum Colleen Couture '10 will present and answer questions. Lunch will be provided, so you must sign up in Mrs. McArdle's office or via e-mail. 

Seniors! There are just a couple spots left for the Marquette trip next week on Wednesday, October 10th. Drop off your permission slip to Mrs. McArdle ASAP.

There will be a Mock Trial meeting Wednesday, October 3rd from 2:45-3:45 in room 113. Please check Showbie for what we will be covering. 

Clubs

Calling all Chefs! If you submitted a permission form and money for Cooking Club, check your Marist e-mail! Meetings will start next week, Tuesday, October 9th by GROUP NUMBER! Any questions? See Ms. Silva in 221.

 

Model United Nations, we will have a meeting in room 214 Wednesday, October 3rd, after school. All are welcome. Also, permission forms for the conference at Carl Sandburg are due by Wednesday.

 

Sports

RedHawk Hockey fans saw their teams take on the Bulldogs of Crown Point, IN on Sunday in a doubleheader of hockey action!

     The Varsity led the charge with scoring by: Jack Christie (2 goals), Brendan Sise (1 goal and 2 Assists), Jack Molenhouse (1 goal). Logan Pickands and AJ Antonelli each had their first Varsity goals of the season to beat the Bulldogs 6-3. Great job boys!

    The JV Redhawks continued the attack! Scoring was led by: Jack Christie (4 goals and 1 assist), Jack Molenhouse and Jonathan Malfas each with 1 goal in a tough 6-5 win over the Bulldogs!  Outstanding effort boys!

     The Varsity Redhawks take on the Br. Rice Crusaders, this Thursday October 4th at 8pm at the Oak Lawn Ice Arena. Come on out to cheer on your winning RedHawks!
