Interested in a highly selective university?  A representative from the University of Notre Dame will visit Marist tonight, Tuesday, October 9, at 7pm in the Theater.  All are welcome to attend.  Find out what you need to succeed!

We are making dinner at the Ronald McDonald House today, Tuesday, October 9.  Come to the SLO for a permission form and see Mrs. Pochyly with questions.

Sports

Congratulations to the Girls Varsity Tennis team who finished in the TOP THREE for the second straight year in the ESCC Conference Tournament. 

Meddling for Marist were: 

Kat Balchunas and Bella Rabianski, 1st doubles took 2nd

Sonya Dremak and Molly Malloy, 2nd doubles took 3rd

Nicole Micklin, 1st singles medaled at 3rd

Last Saturday, the women’s cross country team won the 17-team Rich Central Invite.  Jill Borza and Nora McClorey finished 2nd and 3rd.  Amanda Tracy, Lindsey Richter and Brigid Englehart rounded out the scoring all placing in the top 16. 

 

In the frosh-soph race, Grace Allocco and Sarah Hughes were 9th and 10th which placed the team in 3rd place.  The team will race at St. Viator in the ESCC Championship on Saturday.

 

Attention all students interested in baseball this spring.   There will be a brief information meeting on Thursday October 11th in the cafeteria from 2:30-2:45.  If you can't make the meeting please see coach Sefcik.

 

Attention wrestlers, the season officially begins in November. Any athletes interested in trying out for wrestling must have a physical on file with the athletic office and must register online at the Marist athletics web page.

Any students interested in being a manager for the wrestling team please see Mr. Heffernan in room 132.
