The varsity boys' soccer playoff run came to an end on Saturday as we lost to Lincoln-Way West in the Sectional Championship 3-2. Joe Shannon and Ethan Fit scored the goals in a hard fought game. The team had an outstanding season finishing with a 16-6-5 record. John Kennedy, Ethan Fit and Joe Shannon were named All-Sectional and Marc Carreon was named All-Sectional Honorable Mention. Ethan Fit, Joe Shannon, Marc Carreon, Liam Bennett and John Kennedy were all named to the ESCC All-Conference Team with Liam Bennett being named Defensive Player of the Year in the conference and John Kennedy Goalie of the Year in the Conference. Congratulations to the team on a great season and thanks to all of the families, students, faculty and staff for the great support this season!
Last Saturday, Marist senior Thomas Leonard finished fifth overall at the sectional cross country championship to QUALIFY for the IHSA STATE Cross Country Championships! Thomas Leonard will start from Box #26 at the IHSA State Championships at Detweiller Park in Peoria, Illinois on Saturday, November 9, 2019.
Girls Bowling: There will be a short informational meeting today, Tuesday, November 5, in the main office conference room after school. See Ms. Coyne with any questions.
There will be a brief meeting immediately after school Wednesday, November 6th, at 2:50 in the gym balcony for anyone planning on trying out for boys basketball team this year. Any questions see Coach Trendel.
