Just a reminder to parents that the Marist High School entrance doors for all year levels will be open at 8:15 am. Students arriving prior to this time must have clearance from their teachers and be on a pass list to enter the facility.
Just a reminder to parents that the formal dress code for boys begins Tuesday, November 3. Boys are required to wear an oxford button-down shirt (blue or white) with the Marist logo that must be purchased from Tommy Hilfiger. A tie must be worn with the oxford shirt. Ties may be purchased from Tommy Hilfiger or the Marist Bookstore.

Last Saturday, in Lincoln Park on the shores of Lake Michigan, Marist Junior Jake Phillips QUALIFIED for the IHSA State Cross Country Championships by finishing in fourth place overall at the IHSA Sectionals with an outstanding time of 15:08.29. Although there is no State meet this year, Jake Phillips will be officially listed as a STATE qualifier for 2020! The RedHawks also came within 2 points of a great Downers Grove South team and posted impressive victories over Lane Tech, Whitney Young, and Morton High schools. Marist Junior Andrew Kerlin finished second for the RedHawks and in 62nd overall with an outstanding time of 16:13.71. Marist Captain Tommy Kavanaugh finished third for the RedHawks and in 91st place overall with an outstanding time of 16:48.56. Marist senior Jonathan Rivera capped a great season by finishing fourth for the RedHawks and in 94th place overall with an official time of 16:52.91. Marist Captain Kevin Bugos finished fifth for the RedHawks and in 102nd place to complete team scoring with an outstanding time of 17:09.49. Marist junior Brendan Geary finished sixth for the RedHawks with an incredible kick to finish in 108th place overall with an official time of 17:33.33. Marist sophomore Danny Olsen had an outstanding season and finished seventh for the RedHawks and in 109th place overall with an official time of 17:35.18. Marist Captain Tommy Wagner, junior Michael Golden, freshman Jack Connor, sophomore Frankie Wagner, sophomore Walter Fleming, and junior Patrick Maxwell also had great seasons and did an awesome job serving as alternates and pushing the RedHawks Top 7 varsity runners in practices in preparation for the IHSA State series.
Congratulations to the girls' cross country which was represented by Lilly Roche, Emma Karczewski, and Nora McClorey at the state sectional hosted by Whitney Young along the lake in Lincoln Park on Saturday, October 31. The team ran well all season and worked together to create a team family. We are proud of them all and congratulate Lilly, Emma, and Nora on this great accomplishment. Go RedHawks!
