ATTENTION SENIOR BOYS… even though next week’s Kairos Retreat is full, you can start signing up for the February Boys Kairos Retreat right now. Permission forms are in Deacon Andy’s office and in the Student Life Office. Don’t miss out. Sign up today!

There is a National Honor Society meeting in the theater today, Monday, January 22, at 2:30pm.  The meeting is mandatory, please see Mrs. Pochyly if you cannot attend.

Attention Juniors:  Completed Senior Service applications can be dropped off at the table outside of the Chapel.

This year’s African American Heritage prayer service will be held on Friday, February 23.  If you are interested in attending, pick up a permission form from Mrs. Greenan in room 226.  There are only 35 spots available and are on a first-come, first-serve basis. All forms are due to Mrs. Greenan by February 14 at the latest.

Can't decide where to go to college or even where to apply? Save the date for February 13th at 7pm for the next Hawk Talk featuring four young alums talking about their college decisions and their experiences both near and far. All members of the Marist community are welcome.

ATTENTION ALL SCIENCE CLUB MEMBERS!!  All Monday Science Club members plan to attend today’s meeting to begin our working on our Water Filtration device.   Both groups will meet in Lab 217.  We are very excited to get started!  See Mrs. Spano or Mr. Murphy with questions.  

FENCING CLUB NEWS! Our first meeting of new year will take place tomorrow from 2:30 TO 4:00 in the cafeteria. We are a co-ed martial art that teaches medieval swordsmanship and self-defense. All are welcome any time of the year!!!


In a thrilling game vs. Carmel of Mundelein Saturday evening, your JV RedHawks jumped out to a commanding lead by the 2nd period 3-0! Scoring by Brendan Mahoney, assisted by Jake Keneipp, in the 1st period set the tone! The second period saw Mike Bober bulge the twine with an assist by Kevin Kochan! Third period action saw Kevin Kochan with a goal of his own assisted by Jake Keneipp and Logan Pickands! The Visitors staged a comeback with a goal of their own, then pulled their Goalie for an extra attacker with one minute left! Carmel's onslaught resulted in making the score 3-2! Your RedHawks held strong to their lead and prevailed when time was up! Spectacular job boys! This win propels the team into the playoffs! Stay tuned for the first round playoff game information. Come out and support your RedHawks on their way to the DiChristina Cup! ‚Äč

Congratulations to Marist Sophomore Brian Ferguson for winning the King of the 400m competition at North Park University last Saturday.

This Wednesday, is Senior Night for the girls basketball program.  Game time is 7:00 p.m. vs. St. Viator with senior introductions beginning at 6:30 p.m.  We will be honoring our 4 seniors, Ally Corcoran, Maddie Glennon, Erin Moore, and Lauren Tucker.  Please come out to say “thank you” to our seniors for their 4 years in the Marist Basketball Program!
