Attention All Students:
Were you in band in grade school? Do you miss playing an instrument? Have you always wanted to learn an instrument? Do you want to be a part of one of the most successful organizations in the school? Do you want to add an HONORS class to your schedule? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, Band Director Mr. Creagh is offering FREE lessons throughout the second semester for students who would like to join band for the next school year. We are looking to fill positions in the drumline, trombone, baritone, tuba, and French horn sections in particular but all instruments are welcome. If you are interested, please attend an informational meeting next week on Wednesday, December 13 at 2:30 in the band room, which is located near the McNamara Gym. The meeting should last no longer than 20 minutes. Hope to see you there!
The end of the semester is just around the corner. So are the JANUARY deadlines for college applications and transcripts! If you are applying to a school that has a 12/31, 1/1 OR 1/15 deadline and we need to send out a transcript, you MUST fill out and turn in the transcript request form by this Friday, December 8.
If the school you have already applied to requires a 7th semester transcript (that is your first semester senior year), please fill out a request form and write 7th semester where it says application due date. If you are applying and you have not match your common app to our naviance system, this must also be completed by this Friday.
And, remember to turn in copies of all your college acceptance letters and scholarship awards to Mrs. Gainer. Even if you are not planning to attend a college, we would still like your letters for statistical purposes.
