This year’s African American Heritage prayer service will be held on Friday, February 23.  If you are interested in attending, pick up a permission form from Mrs. Greenan in room 226.  There are only 35 spots available and are on a first-come, first-serve basis. All forms are due to Mrs. Greenan by February 14 at the latest.


Buongiorno! If you are traveling to Italy over Spring Break, don't forget to pay the second deposit by this Friday, February the 2nd. You can give your check to Mrs. Zulato or Senora Nathan-Gamauf. 

Mock Trial will meet this evening at 6pm in room 113. New members are welcome.

Unsure about where to go to college? Still don't even know where to apply? Save the date for our next Hawk Talk on February 13th with four young alums who will discuss their college experiences and share advice. 

There will be boys’ volleyball open gym on Wednesday from 3:30-5 in the small gym. See coach Vidovic with questions.


Wednesday wear your grammar shirt or sweatshirt with your pants or skirts to celebrate Catholic Schools Week!


The chess team qualified for the state tournament this weekend going 2-2 in the sectional final.  The team’s two wins came against Taft High School, and rival Brother Rice.  Well done, team.

Bonjour! French National Honor Society will meet on Tuesday, January 30, in room 216 after school from 2:30-3:15. This is a mandatory meeting so please make plans to attend.

Calling Cooking Club members! Group 1 will meet this Thursday, February 1st at 2:30 in the CAFE. Any questions? See Ms. Silva.


Congratulations to the Girls Basketball Program for their "clean sweep" of all levels against conference rival Marian Catholic. Varsity won 47-44 with Syd Affolter, Abby Callahan and McKenna Kallianis leading the way in scoring. The ladies are now 19-4 and will face #2 in the state Maine West tonight @ Maine West.

Boy’s Track and Field uniforms will be distributed in the McNamara gymnasium at 2:30 pm.

Congratulations to our Girls’ Bowling Team.  Varsity and Junior Varsity competed last Saturday in the GCAC Conference.  Junior Alyssa Lang was named “All Conference.”  We complete Tuesday in the Eisenhower Invitation and have Regionals this Saturday.

On Friday night, the boys’ basketball team defeated Joliet Catholic 61-32. The team is now 19-2 overall, and 4-1 in conference.


Congratulations to Senior Morgan Taylor who surpassed the 1,000 point mark of his career!


Marist Wrestling competed at the ESCC individual tournament last weekend in Mundelein. Congratulations to all-conference wrestlers Michael Leveille, Frank Doyle, Collin Bartolotta, and Tim Maher as well as ESCC champion Jacob Dado.

The RedHawks move on to this Saturday’s IHSA Individual Regional tournament which will be held in the Main Gym beginning at 9:00 a.m. Please come out and support the RedHawks on the road to the state tournament.

​     RedHawk Hockey fans, if you were there you saw it​, if you were not not, you missed the "red hot" RedHawks in their two game sweep of the Cobras Hockey Club and Mount Carmel Caravan over the weekend. The Cobras were defeated 8-3 in an outdoor game on Friday evening while Mount Carmel was defeated 4-2 on Saturday with goals by Luke Minogue (2), Jack Reedy, and Kevin Kochan with assists by Dominic Tuminello and Carl Grebnor. This win puts the RedHawks in the playoffs! Way to go boys, keep it up on the way to the cup! Stay tuned for the first playoff game information.
