Any sophomore who has not yet made or missed their appointment with Mr. Hennessy or Mrs. Cox for scheduling classes for junior year must see their counselor as soon as possible to make arrangements.

The Archdiocese of Chicago is having their annual African American Heritage Prayer Service on Friday February 22nd.  If you are interested in going, please see Mr. Christensen in the Guidance Office for information and a permission form. 

Save the Date for the next Hawk Talk on Wednesday, February 27th. Dr. Jason Guerro '97 will discuss not giving up, following your passion, and his career in dentistry. This event is hosted by EVOLVE and Explore. Sign up for your lunch mod by e-mailing Mrs. McArdle. 


Students traveling on the East Coast College Tour -- remember the bus leaves from Marist at 4:45am on Thursday. Round-trip cost of the bus is $20 cash or check to Mrs. McArdle; please bring this week. See or e-mail her with any last minute questions about the trip!

The Marist sophomore boys’ track and field TEAM finished in SECOND place at the Evanston Indoor Classic. Marist freshman Tucker Miller won the 55m dash, and the 55m low hurdles. Marist sophomore Carter Auer won the High Jump and Triple Jump. Marist sophomore Kevin Bugos, freshman Luke Malzone, sophomore Tommy Kavanaugh, and freshman Andrew Kerlin WON the 4x800m Relay. Marist freshman Brendan Geary finished in second place in the 3200m run. The Marist varsity boys’ track and field team finished in FOURTH place at the Evanston Indoor Classic. Marist junior Thomas Leonard finished in second place in the 1600m run. Marist senior Lucas Pennix finished in second place in the 3200m run. Marist sophomore Jovan Marsh finished in second place in the 300m dash. The RedHawks travel on Wednesday to Glenbrook North High School for the Spartan Indoor Classic.


The girls’ varsity basketball team begins its state play-off run tomorrow, Tuesday, in the opening round of regional play hosted by Marist. Game time is 6 p.m.


Congratulations to girls’ basketball senior Abby Callahan and sophomore Syd Affolter for being selected to the East Suburban Catholic ALL-Conference team, selected by the Conference Coaches. 


The RedHawk wrestlers had a very successful weekend at the Bolingbrook Sectional Tournament by advancing five wrestlers to the state tournament. Those in 4th place are at 106 pounds, Owen Dunlap, at 126 pounds, Mateen Taylor, and at 182 pounds, Kendrick Nowling. Finishing in second place were at 113 pounds, Michael Leveille and at 138 pounds, Jacob Dado. The wrestlers will compete at the state tournament in Champaign, Illinois this Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Good luck, wrestlers!


All girls looking to play soccer this spring are asked to attend a brief meeting on Wednesday the 13th after school in the cafeteria at 2:40pm.
