Attention Seniors! Do you plan to attend Moraine Valley in the fall? Or have you thought about registering for a summer course at Moraine before going away to college? If so, please stop by the Guidance Office to sign up for an appointment with an admissions representative from Moraine. There is a sign up sheet by Mrs. Peterson and Mrs. Myers’ clipboards. The representative from Moraine will be here today.

Any sophomore who has not yet made or missed their appointment with Mr. Hennessy or Mrs. Cox for scheduling classes for junior year must see their counselor as soon as possible to make arrangements.

We have a pink Coach wallet in the main office, please claim if it is yours.  Please be prepared to say what is in the wallet.  Thank you.

The Archdiocese of Chicago is having their annual African American Heritage Prayer Service on Friday February 22nd.  If you are interested in going, please see Mr. Christensen in the Guidance Office for information and a permission form.

Students traveling on the East Coast College Tour -- remember the bus leaves from Marist at 4:45am on Thursday. Round-trip cost of the bus is $20 cash or check to Mrs. McArdle; please bring this week. See or e-mail her with any last minute questions about the trip!

Students Against Destructive Decisions will co-sponsor a self-defense seminar on Tuesday February 19th at 5:30 p.m. in the Marist Cafeteria.  SADD is partnering with State Rep Fran Hurley, State Senator Bill Cunningham, and State Rep Kelly Burke for this event.   This seminar is FREE and open to all students, faculty, and staff as well as the community!  The self-defense seminar will be taught by a retired law enforcement officer.  Come out and learn how to protect yourself against an assailant! Preregistration is not required.  Please see Mrs. Novak in Guidance with any questions.



The girls’ track and field kicked of their season to a fast start this week on Saturday at Lyons Township Kaylin set the school record in the 200 meter dash. On Tuesday she continued to anchor the team leading the 4x200 relay of Whitney Melancon, Grace Misiunas, Payton Ross, and Kaylin Strahan. Other top performances included Akira Mann in the 55 and 200, Strahan in the 55, Ashlin Pazkill in hurdles and long jump. Maya Drayton in shotput, Lilly Roche and Nora McClorey in the 800, and Kaitlyn O’Brien, Nora Poole, and Erin O’Sullivan in pole vault.


Congratulations to the girls’ varsity basketball team for their victory in the first round of the regional playoffs vs. Crete Monee. Come out Thursday at 7:00 p.m. as the ladies play Homewood-Flossmoor for the IHSA 2019 regional title. 


All girls looking to play soccer this spring are asked to attend a brief meeting today after school in the cafeteria at 2:40pm. Please bring back any uniform that was borrowed.  If you have any questions, please ask Coach Roe.
