Practice ACT Test
On Saturday, March 10th, Marist will offer a Practice ACT Test to interested juniors and sophomores.
This is an actual retired ACT test so it will give you an excellent idea of what you can expect on the real ACT test. However, you will not be taking the writing portion.
Sign up for the practice test with Mrs. Gainer in the Guidance Office. The cost is $10.00 and money needs to be turned in when you sign up for the test. You will be unable to sign up without your payment. The test will start at 8:30 am and you should be done with testing and self-scoring by noon.
The deadline to sign up is Wednesday, February 21st.
This year’s African American Heritage prayer service will be held on Friday, February 23. If you are interested in attending, pick up a permission form from Mrs. Greenan in room 226. There are only 35 spots available and are on a first-come, first-serve basis. All forms are due to Mrs. Greenan by February 14 at the latest.
Attention all Bulls fans and speech team enthusiasts. The Marist Speech and Acting team will be raffling off a set of Bulls tickets for the March 5 game against the Celtics. Four seats in rows E and D in section 107 will be raffled off. These floor seats also come with a parking pass. The price is $3 for one ticket, $5 for 2 tickets, and $10 for 5 tickets. The winning ticket will be drawn on Tuesday, February 20. See Ms. Paoletti in Room 128 or any of the Speech and Acting team members to purchase.

Buongiorno! Come to Italian Club this Thursday at 2:30pm in room 223 to celebrate Saint Valentine's Day with Italian chocolate Baci and their secret love messages. We will make Valentine cards.
Congratulations to the girls’ varsity basketball team for their 1st round win in their quest for the state title. The girls defeated Bloom High School with a score of 61-28. Leading the way for the RedHawks were McKenna Kallianis with 18 points, followed by Syd Affolter with 13 points. Ally Corcoran and Stef Schied both had 6 assists. The ladies will play for the regional final against Thornwood on Thursday at Bloom. Game time is 7:00pm. Good luck!
Boys volleyball open gym will be today from 5-6:30 in the small gym.
Last night the girls track and field team competed at Lincoln Way East High School. Outstanding performance were turned in by Nora Poole in pole Vault, Amanda Tracey in the 800, Cece Light in the mile, Roryiel Curry in the high jump, Maya Drayton in shotput, Akira Mann in the 200, and the 4x400 relay of Light, Englehart, Strahan, and Melacon.
