Happy Valentine's Day!

Attention Freshmen and Sophomores, don’t forget to sign-up for the Frosh/Soph Formal next Saturday. Tickets are $15 per person and $30 per couple. You can pick up a permission form in the SLO.

Any Senior interested in playing in the Faculty vs Senior basketball game at next week’s rally should see Mr. Brennan in the SLO during their lunch mod.

We have a pink Coach wallet in the main office, please claim if it is yours.  Please be prepared to say what is in the wallet.  Thank you.

The Archdiocese of Chicago is having their annual African American Heritage Prayer Service on Friday February 22nd.  If you are interested in going, please see Mr. Christensen in the Guidance Office for information and a permission form. 

Clubs

The RedHawk Investment Club (RIC) will meet this afternoon at 2:30 p.m., in Room 121.  Snacks will be served!  Special guest speaker Tom Harrington will talk about the Commodities and Grain Market.  Club picture will be taken.

Students Against Destructive Decisions will co-sponsor a self-defense seminar on Tuesday February 19th at 5:30 p.m. in the Marist Cafeteria.  SADD is partnering with State Rep Fran Hurley, State Senator Bill Cunningham, and State Rep Kelly Burke for this event.   This seminar is FREE and open to all students, faculty, and staff as well as the community!  The self-defense seminar will be taught by a retired law enforcement officer.  Come out and learn how to protect yourself against an assailant! Preregistration is not required.  Please see Mrs. Novak in Guidance with any questions.

On Wednesday, the Marist boys’ track and field TEAM traveled to Glenbrook North High School for the Spartan Indoor Classic. The meet featured Marist, Highland Park, and host Glenbrook North. Marist freshman Andrew Kerlin WON the VARSITY 1600m! Junior Brian Ferguson WON the varsity long jump and 200m dash! Sophomore Jovan Marsh WON the varsity 50m dash! Marist junior Amari Watkins, freshman Tucker Miller, junior Antoine Davis, and junior Kivonte Houston WON the varsity 4x160m relay! Sophomore Jamari Grant improved by 5'0 to WIN the varsity triple jump! The RedHawks will travel next Sunday to Lewis University for the ICOPS Invitational.

 

Don’t forget to come out and support your boys varsity basketball team and the varsity poms team on their Senior Night tomorrow at 7 PM and at halftime you might get a chance to compete in the Tuition Toss Challenge.
