Nabal Jefferson '09 will share his experience being a D1 football player at Northern Illinois as well as his career in accounting. This Hawk Talk is co-sponserd by EVOLVE and Explore, and it will be Thursday, 2/28 after school in room 200 at 2:30. Please join us!


Save the Date for the next Hawk Talk on Wednesday, February 27th. Dr. Jason Guerro '97 will discuss not giving up, following your passion, and his career in dentistry. There will be an informational meeting for the Bass Fishing Club after school today in room 109.


Our next mandatory meeting is this coming Mon Feb 25th at 2:30 in Rm211. We will be discussing many of our projects: Hearts in Motion, Corazon a Corazon & the St Ben’s Confirmation Retreat, plus details on our shirt. Spanish Club: Tomorrow Friday, January 22nd, Spanish Club will continue its exploration of the 'Carnaval' celebration. We will learn about some of its rituals and traditions in different countries, such as Spain or Colombia.  All are welcome! The meeting is in Room 214 at 2:20pm. Gracias!"



Attention all girls’ track members who need to pick up team gear and warm up jackets. They will be available in room 205 from 2:30-2:45 p.m. to pick up. Distance please meet in Room 203 today.


Girls’ varsity basketball player, sophomore Syd Affolter, will be competing in the IHSA 3-point shooting contest in the Sectional Finals tonight at Thornwood High School. This last round will be for advancement to the Queen of the Hill Competition next weekend at the IHSA State Finals. Good Luck Syd.



There will be a brief baseball tryout meeting this Friday at 2:30 in the small gym.  Baseball tryouts start Monday.


The boys’ track team competed at Lincoln Way East on Wednesday night. Marist sophomore Carter Auer WON the Triple Jump! Marist sophomore Nick Vallie finished in second place in the triple jump! Freshman Danny Enright tied for third place in the pole vault! Marist sophomore Josh Harris finished in fourth place in the shot put! Marist junior Amari Watkins finished in fourth place in the 200m dash! The Marist 4x200m relay (Amari Watkins, Sam McNamara, Cesar Gaona, and Nick Coccaro) finished in SECOND place. The RedHawks finished in third place in the meet and travel to Lewis University on Sunday for the ICOPS Invitational.
