The boys basketball team advanced to the regional championship this Friday.  There will be a fiesta with Mexican food before the game.  Wear your favorite poncho or sombrero and head to the main gym after you eat to watch the boys compete for the regional championship!


Are you just beginning your college search or do you still have questions?  Attend the College Night on Thursday, March 1 from 7-8:30 pm in the gym and select classrooms.  Check your naviance site to see who will be here!

SPRING BREAK TRIP TO ITALY: An informational meeting regarding our upcoming trip to Italy over Spring Break is scheduled for Thursday, March 8th, at 5:00pm in room 223 (Italian classroom).  It is imperative that your parents attend this meeting to receive information about the travel itinerary, transportation, lodging, and what documents to bring. Also, remember that the third and last payment for the trip is due this Friday, March 2nd. You can turn in the check to either Mrs. Zulato or Senora Nathan-Gamauf.

Six members of this past year’s varsity football team will be at Buona Beef today at noon to be interviewed by WGN for the upcoming Polar Plunge.  If you’re hungry tonight between 4-7:00 PM, 20% of the cost of any food purchased at Buona Beef will be donated to Special Olympics in honor of Marist High School.  Members of the football team, Ron Dawczak, Alderman Matt O’Shea and I will be there as well.


Freshmen are reminded to check their Gmail accounts for their course selection schedule.


Relay for Life Bank Afternoon is today, Wednesday, February 28, from 2:30-4:30 in the SLO.  Bank Afternoon is an opportunity to turn in your money before the Relay for Life event so you don’t have to wait in line to get in. 


Marist community - Save the date for Explore's next Hawk Talk on March 13 at 7pm in the RedHawk Theater. Alum Tom Coyle ’74 will discuss his career in business and agribusiness. See flyers around school or Mrs. McArdle for more details.



St. George Catholic Church in Tinley Park will hold a prayer service against violence on Friday, March 2 at 7pm. The event is open to the community and they especially welcome students.




ATTENTION ALL SPANISH NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY MEMBERS: Don’t forget our next mandatory meeting is this coming Monday, March 5th at 2:30pm in Rm. 211. We will hear from Brother Sam about the St Benedict Confirmation Retreat, learn from recent grad Sarah Thompson’s volunteer experience outside of Lima, Peru last summer & work on our FANA fundraiser. Let an officer or Senora N-G know if you have any questions!


Calling all Cooking Club Members! Group 2 will meet this Thursday, March 1st at 2:30 in the CAFE. Any questions? See Ms. Silva.


Ultimate Frisbee will be having our first practice on Thursday after school.  Please meet in Room 102.



Last night the boys basketball team defeated Richards 75-65 in the first round of the state playoffs. The RedHawks are now 25-4 and will play again this Friday at 7pm for the Regional Championship. Come out and support your RedHawks.


Are you looking to get involved in a spring sport? The boys tennis team will be having an informational meeting after school in room 119. No previous tennis experience is required to come out for the tennis team. See Coach Karr with questions.


Wrestlers who did not attend yesterday’s informational meeting must see Coach Heffernan for information regarding the banquet.
