Attention students going on the spring break trip On Mediterranean Shores to Barcelona, the French Riviera, Florence, and Rome – stop by guidance today and get your flight itinerary from Mrs. Cox or Brother Brice.

The Archdiocese of Chicago is having their annual African American Heritage Prayer Service on Friday February 22nd.  If you are interested in going, please see Mr. Christensen in the Guidance Office for information and a permission form. 

RELAY FOR LIFE dress down day is this Friday.  Wear purple and bring $3.00 to support the American Cancer Society and honor anyone you know who has had cancer.

Are you interested in molecular biology and / or the law? Sign up for this Friday's Hawk Talk during your lunch mod in the main office conference room by e-mailing or seeing Mrs. McArdle. Pizza and cookies will be served for those who RSVP in advance. Explore students and mock trial club members are encouraged to attend!

 

The next Mock Trial meeting is Wednesday 2/6 from 2:45-3:45 in room 113. 

 

The meeting for students traveling on the East Coast College Tour is Wednesday 2/6 at 6pm in room 113. Students and a parent / guardian should attend.

Anyone boys interested in playing volleyball this spring there will have be an open gym after school on Friday in the new gym.

 

Clubs

Conditioning is beginning for Ultimate Frisbee TODAY. Please meet in Room 102 after school.

French Club will meet this Thursday, Feb. 7 at 2:30 in room 216 to explore the vibrant visual history of Haitian Folk Art and to re-create some famous examples of this world renowned art. All are welcome.

Sports

 

Congratulations to our Girls Varsity Basketball Team for their win over conference rival Marian Central Catholic. Our varsity is now (20-7).  Thanks to Brother Rich, the Athletic Dept., our coaches, program kids, faculty and students for making it a spectacular night for our Seniors:  Abby, Nora and McKenna. Congratulations to the girls basketball freshman and soph programs for a great basketball season. Both teams concluded their seasons last night with victories. Finally congrats to Coach Mary Pat Connolly who picked up her 400th win on Monday night! What an accomplishment!
