Seniors:  The Marquette Bank Scholarship applications are now in the guidance office. Pick one up from Brother Brice or your guidance counselor in the guidance office. Community Service, your Character and some decent grades could pay off in some serious college money.  Get an applications today.  Due:  April 16, to your guidance counselor.

Juniors, sophs…Remind your parents of the College Fair, Thursday night.  See the Marist Website for details.

Attention juniors who did not attend the Junior Ring mass and still need their rings: Herff Jones ring company will be here tomorrow during all lunch mods to distribute them or answer any questions you may have.

Interested in an internship, shadowing, or volunteer position for the summer? If you need guidance or suggestions, stop by and see Mrs. McArdle in the Explore office!

Don’t forget the book sale is still happening in the ARC! All monies go towards 1 Book 1 Marist club. We have lots of:

  • Teen fiction
  • Memoirs and History books
  • Cookbooks and Adult Fiction

Treat yourself to a good Spring Break read. Stop by soon before the good stuff goes!

Reminder to all sophomores and juniors that the deadline to register for the practice ACT on March 23rd is March 8th.  Please bring $10 to Mrs. Connolly’s office (224A) by March 8th in order to register. No late registration will be accepted.

The annual FNHS Mardi Gras Bake Sale will take place Monday and Tuesday during all lunch mods in the Cafe. Bring your sweet tooth and help us raise money for an orphanage in Haiti. Bon appétit!


ATTENTION ALL SPANISH NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY STUDENTS: Our next mandatory meeting is this coming Mon March 4th at 2:30 in Rm211. We will put our Hearts in Motion collection plan into place. Don’t forget to bring your donation items for your committee, we look forward to seeing you all there!

Attention all Bulls fans and speech team enthusiasts! The Marist Speech and Acting team will be raffling off a set of Bulls tickets for the March 30 game against the Clippers. Four seats in rows E and D in section 107 will be raffled off. These floor seats also come with a parking pass. The price is $3 for one ticket, $5 for 2 tickets, and $10 for 5 tickets. The winning ticket will be drawn Friday, March 8. See Ms. Paoletti in Room 128, Mr. Distasio, or any of the Speech and Acting team members to purchase.




Boys volleyball tryouts begin today. Freshmen begin at 3pm in the main gym.  Sophomores, juniors and seniors begin at 5pm in the main gym. See Coach Vidovic with questions.


The Marist Boys Track and Field TEAM finished in SECOND place at the Lincoln Way Central Knights Invitational. Senior Kendric Nowling was awarded two gold medals for winning the Shot Put competition and finishing in a tie for first place in the 200m dash. Sophomore Jovan Marsh was also awarded a gold medal for finishing in a tie for first place in the 200m dash. Senior Tom Johnson was awarded a Silver Medal for finishing in second place in the Triple Jump. Junior Brian Ferguson was awarded a silver medal for finishing in second place in the 55m dash (6.60). Freshman Tucker Miller was awarded a bronze medal for finishing in third place in the 55m dash (6.70). Senior Lucas Pennix was awarded a bronze medal for finishing in third place in the 3200m run. Junior Thomas Leonard was awarded a bronze medal for finishing in third place in the 1600m run (4:34.0). Junior Jovan Marsh, Freshman Tucker Miller, Freshman Michael Coy, and Junior Brian Ferguson were awarded a bronze medal for finishing in third place in the 4x200m Relay. The RedHawks will travel on Tuesday to Lyons Township High School to take on the defending IHSA Sectional Champions.


The RedHawk wrestling team was in action this past weekend competing in the Frosh-Soph Sectional Championships for a chance to wrestle in the State Tournament. Qualifiers were, in third place, Ethan Bednarczyk, in second place, Tommy McAuliffe and Bobby Gaylord and the first place Champions were Tommy Boland and Ghee Rachal.  These wrestlers will compete in Springfield this coming weekend.
