ATTENTION JUNIORS… the deadline to turn in your permission forms for the Junior Retreat is next Wednesday, the day before we leave for our long Easter weekend. If you need a form, see Deacon Andy. Please join us for the day… it will be worth your time away… guaranteed!

ATTENTION EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS… the list of ministers assigned to serve at Monday’s all-school mass is in your In-box and posted outside of Deacon Andy’s office. Please double check the list for your name and come to Mass on Monday ready to serve.

We have one key in the lost and found.  If you lost your key, please stop in the main office.

Anyone interested in eating, dancing and brightening up someone’s day?  Come help at the Senior Citizens Prom on May 19.  Come to the SLO and see Mrs. Pochyly for a permission form!

The Marist Speech and Acting Team will host its 5th annual showcase tonight at 7 PM in the RedHawk Theatre. The showcase will feature performances from our talented National qualifiers. Admission is $5, and all proceeds will go toward the team’s trip to Nationals in May. Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance. See Ms. Paoletti in Room 128, Mr. DiStasio, or any of the speech kids to purchase tickets.

Students interested in taking the fan bus to Wrigley Field for the Marist game next Wednesday, please fill out the google form that was sent to you emails earlier this week. Any questions see Mr. Brennan in the SLO.

Save the date for Career Fair! On Friday, April 26th from 7-8:20am, a variety of professional will be in Hynes Gym for students to interact with. Chat with engineers, nurses, lawyers, police officers, business professionals, and so many more! Coffee and donuts will be served!


Would you like to spend next year’s spring break seeing the sights of Paris, having dinner on the Eiffel Tower, cruising down the Seine River, visiting the Palace at Versailles, enjoying a morning excursion to the top of the world with the nearly 7,000 feet ascent to the summit of Mt. Pilatus, and relaxing on a cruise around Lake Lucerne in Switzerland?  How about crossing the border into Germany and entering the dream castle that served as the model for Sleeping Beauty’s castle, while finishing the week by exploring Munich, Germany and taking an excursion to the concentration camp at Dachau?  


Register by May 15th in order to get a $175.00 early enrollment discount off the total price of this amazing trip, and take longer time to make payments if you register this school year.  See Mrs. Cox or Mr. Ryan in guidance for more information and for the trip application.

Any student interested in running for Student Council for next year, there is a mandatory meeting next Tuesday after school in the theatre.




Cheerleading Information

Friday, April 12, 2019 - cheer tryouts in small gym - 6-9pm

Last night, the boys lacrosse team claimed two conference wins over Marian Central Catholic. The JV won their game 9-7, freshman Luke Panozzo had 3 goals.  The Varsity beat Marian Central 22-8 with a strong performance by Nolan Borkovec who had 5 goals and Sam Colon with 4!! The RedHawks next home game is Thursday vs. Notre Dame.

Last Night at the Lady Hawk Invite.  The girls’ track and field finished second overall.  Meet highlights include Ashlin Palzkill winning the 300 Low Hurdles, other medal winners include a first place 4x800 relay of McClorey, McNicholas, Englehart, and Butler, Amanda Tracey and Lilly Roche in the 2 Mile, Nora McClorey in the 800, Brigid Englehart in the 1600, Royiel Curry in the 100 Hurdles, Grace Misunis in the 200 an High Jump, and the 4x100 relay of Melancon, Misunas, Curry, and Palzkill.  


Can't stop flossing? Is Watch Me "Nae Nae" your jam? Do you think you have the "right" moves?  Those interested in dance should join Poms!  Poms tryouts for the 2019-2020 school year will be held on Thursday, April 25th at 5pm.  Prior to tryouts, you must complete the Google Form which can be found on the Marist Poms Twitter page and register on the 8 to 18 website.  If you have any questions, please see Coach Placas in room 210.
