Juniors who are attending Junior Prom, make sure you pick up your Junior Prom shirts during your lunch mods today.

Were you in band in junior high and miss playing your instrument?  Do you want to go to New Orleans next year and Disney World the year after?  Do you want to be a part of one of the most successful organizations in the school?  Then come join the Marist Band!  If you are interested in joining the famous Marist Band, please see Mr. Creagh in the band room or e-mail him at creagh.andrew@marist.net as

Would you like to spend next year’s spring break seeing the sights of Paris, having dinner on the Eiffel Tower, cruising down the Seine River, visiting the Palace at Versailles, enjoying a morning excursion to the top of the world with the nearly 7,000 feet ascent to the summit of Mt. Pilatus, and relaxing on a cruise around Lake Lucerne in Switzerland?  How about crossing the border into Germany and entering the dream castle that served as the model for Sleeping Beauty’s castle, while finishing the week by exploring Munich, Germany and taking an excursion to the concentration camp at Dachau?

Clubs

Come join the EVOLVE club on Thursday April 11th for “YOU ARE MY NEIGHBOR – Disrupting Violence”.  This presentation by local Chicago changemakers and the New York Times bestselling author Gregory Boyle, will be at St. Barnabas from 7-9pm on Thursday April 11th.  See Coach Topps or Mr. Christensen for more information and to register. 

 

Calling all Chefs! Group 2 and anyone from Group 4 will meet today at 2:30 in the CAFÉ.

Sports

 

Congratulations to the boys’ tennis team who defeated Sandburg 3-2 in their season opener. Jeremiah Joyce and Kevin Dolehide won at singles, and Luis Pinal and Connor McNamara won at doubles. Great job guys!

Tonight, the boys’ volleyball program takes on top 10 state ranked Oak Park River Forest at home. Coach Meyer and Coach Reid and the Freshmen RedHawks start at 5:00 p.m., followed by the Varsity at 6:00 p.m.

 

Last night the girls’ track team hosted Mother McAuley for senior night. The top senior performances from last night included Yaya Evans leading the field in high jump, Molly Sullivan and Ella Gibbons in triple jump, Maya Drayton, Liz Lopez, and Ivette Ibarra in throws, Lauren Hudson, Grace Kon, Whitney Melancon, Kaylee Hughes in the sprints and relays, and the senior distance crew ran season best times including Mary Laura Carey, Julia Crowley, Fiona Murphy, Grace Murphy, and Anna Nawara.
