Girls Kairos for September has open spots.  Please see Mrs. Pochyly for forms and information.


Marist is starting our free grade school tutoring program.  Any student interested in tutoring grade school students, please see Mrs. Pochyly.


The FIRST Marist Youth meeting will be Tuesday after school in the café.  Please see Mrs. Pochyly or Mr. Brennan if interested.


If you're looking to stay active during the spring, come out for the ultimate frisbee team. If you don't know how to play don't be discouraged because fall practices will be focused on fundamentals. Practices start September 4th and will be on Tuesdays throughout the Fall. We will meet in room 102.  For any further questions see Mr. Lesher.


If you interested in signing up for the spring break trip to Barcelona, Provence, Nice, Florence, and Rome, please see Mrs. Cox in Guidance as soon as possible.  This trip is almost filled to capacity.  Once it is full, you will need to be added to a waiting list in the event that a spot opens up.


Attention all students, information regarding Homecoming will be sent to your emails via Naviance later today. If you plan on going to the dance, you need to fill out the Google form and also return the permission form and payment to Mr. Brennan in the Student Life Office no later than Wednesday September 12th. Both of these will be attached in the email. If you have any questions please see Mr. Brennan in the SLO.




Are you interested in hosting a Marist student from Barcelona, Spain this November? If so pick up an information sheet & application outside of Rm211 and turn it in to your Spanish teacher as soon as possible. Questions? See or email Senora Nathan-Gamauf!


Students Against Destructive Decisions Club will host a “meet & greet” for Freshmen and Sophomores on Tuesday, September 4th immediately after school.  Come to Room 209 for free pizza and to learn more about SADD Club. Current members welcome too! 




Calling all RETURNING Cooking Club Members! There will be a short information meeting in 221 today, Thursday, August 30th right after school. Any questions? See Ms. Silva.


Congratulations to the varsity soccer team on their 3-0 victory over Lemont at home yesterday.  Pat Clancy and Nick Quinn each scored and Joe Shannon set up a goal.  John Kennedy and Clark Woodard split the shutout in the net.  The team is now 4-1 and opens conference play next Wednesday against Joliet Catholic.

Great first meet to the girls swim team. Everyone came out to swim with great attitudes and big efforts. Special shout out to Abby McLaughlin for swimming a personal best in the 50 freestyle and to Molly Sullivan for 2 new school records in the 500 free and the 100 Breaststroke.


Congratulations to the Girls Tennis Program who swept JCA at both levels! Varsity won their home opener 3-2, with wins from Bella Rabianski and Kat Balchunas at first doubles, Sonya Dremak and Molly Malloy at second doubles, and Rocky Davis and Eliza Shroba at third doubles! 

Winning for JV were: Kali Case at first singles, Bridget Donaher at second singles, and the doubles team of Lizzy McGeehan and Maeve Maloney. 


There will be a short 5 minute meeting today (Thursday) after school in the small gym for any boys interested in playing volleyball in the spring


Attention all wrestlers not in a fall sport:


There will be a brief informational meeting today, Thursday, August 30, in the wrestling room at 2:30. Please see Coach Heffernan in Room 132 if you cannot make the meeting due to the early dismissals.
