Back to school night is this Thursday, September 13th

The only student space that will be open after school will be the ARC if it is necessary for you to stay after school to wait for a ride.

The cafeteria and the rest of the building will be closed.

Attention seniors applying for the Chick Evans Scholarship

There will be a brief mandatory meeting in the College Room of the Guidance Department on Wednesday, September 12, immediately after school.  If you are planning to apply for the scholarship, you must attend.

WE NEED SENIOR BOYS!! It’s time to sign up for the October Boys Kairos Retreat. Don’t miss out on this great program. You can get your permission form from Mr. Brennan in the Student Life Office or Deacon Andy in the Main Office. We need you to sign up TODAY!!

Marist will be having our first Road Mass this Sunday at St. Barnabas for the 10:00am mass.  Let’s pray together as Redhawks and then share some breakfast.  See Mrs. Pochyly or Mr. Brennan in the SLO for the details.

Juniors and Seniors who qualified for the National Honor Society have received an email from Mrs. Pochyly.  Make sure to fill out the attached application and return it to Mrs. Pochyly by September 17.

The Marist Theater Guild Presents "The Curious Savage."  Auditions will take place in the Redhawk Theater September 11 and 12 with callbacks on September 13.  See the callboard for more information.


There will be an informational meeting at 6pm on Tuesday, September 18th in room 113 for any students and parents interested in learning more about the college tour to schools in the D.C. and Carolina area over President's Day Weekend 2019. Questions? See Mrs. McArdle in the Explore office.


The first Hawk Talk will feature Marist seniors who attended college programs, interned, worked, and /or volunteered during summer 2018. This is a great way to learn from our seniors and learn what the Explore Program is all about. The event is from 7-8pm on Tuesday, September 18th. All members of the Marist community are welcome. 


The first Mock Trial meeting will be next week on Wednesday, September 19th at 2:45 in room 113. The meeting will last about an hour. All returning members are expected to attend and new members are welcome. See Mrs. McArdle with any questions.

Fencing Club News

Fencing Club is a co-ed Western Martial Art meeting every Tuesday after school in the cafeteria.

Our first meeting of the year will be held in room 229 after school today, Tuesday, Sept 11th

Come for information about our new year and some treats!

If you are interested in joining the Pro-Life/Pro-Love Club, we will be having our first meeting on Thursday, September 13 in Room 102.  Come and learn about all of the events that we’d like to do this year and how you can help support all stages of life.  Please see Mr. Lesher if you have any questions. 


Boys Basketball Open Gym Schedule for this week:  Open gyms will be held Today (9/11).  Tuesday is 2:30-4:30 in the Small Gym.  All are welcome.  Any questions see Coach Trendel.

Girls Swimming

Congratulations to all the Marist Swimmers for a great meet at the St. Viator Invite.  Great Job to Sofia Llobet for breaking the 200 Individual Medley school record and to Molly Sullivan for breaking the 50 Free and 100 Breaststroke records as well.  Great swims ladies!

Attention all Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors wishing to tryout for the Girls Basketball Team:

Open Gym for Girls Basketball will begin today, Tuesday, September 11, at 2:45 in the Main Gym.  Come dressed and ready to play.  All details of open gyms will be explained on that day.  If you have any questions, please see Coach Connolly.

A reminder to all wrestlers considering trying out for the team in November, Open Mats are every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 2:45.
