Marist Community

ATTENTION ALL MARIST STUDENTS LOOKING TO MAKE A LIFELONG MARIST FRIENDSHIP:

The Argentines are coming! 18 students from a Marist school in Buenos Aires will be here October 5-14 and we need host families to welcome them and be their new Marist brothers and sisters. Pick up an application outside of Room 216 and contact Mr. Brant (Rm. 224) with questions. Applications should be turned in by Friday, September 13, to your Spanish teacher.

Clubs

Anime club meeting is cancelled for today. 

RedHawk Investment Club will meet today at 3:00 p.m. in Room 121.  See Mr. Henneberry for additional information.  Snacks will be served.

Spanish Club will have its first meeting of the year today, Wednesday, September 11th. Come by to learn more about Hispanic Cultures and to kick off Hispanic Heritage Month. Snacks will be served!  The meeting will be after school in room 220. See Srta. Jorgensen or Sr. Arevalo. All are welcome. Hasta entonces!

 

Model United Nations will have its first meeting of the year after school on Thursday September 12th in room 220. Come by to learn about our club, and to introduce a new topic for discussion. All grade levels and all levels of interest are welcome. For questions, see Ms. Jorgensen. Donuts and other snacks will be provided.

Marist Theater Guild will hold auditions for the fall play, "Witness for the Prosecution," (today) Wednesday in the RedHawk Theater after school.  Callbacks will take place Thursday.  A copy of the script has been placed in the ARC for preview as well as a character list on the call board outside the theater. 

Sports

Congratulations to the varsity girls tennis team who defeated Carmel Mundelein 3-2. Winning for Marist were: Nicole Micklin, Elena Ruzevich, Molly Malloy, Sonya Dremak, and Rocky Davis.
