The Marist varsity boys' cross country team opened up the 2020 season by hosting Brother Rice, 2019 IHSA State qualifiers at Marist High School. The RedHawks Won the meet with a ten point victory over the Crusaders. The RedHawks were led by junior Jake Phillips, who ran a course record time of 16:01. Junior Andrew Kerlin finished 3rd overall. Captain Kevin Bugos finished 4th overall. Captain Tommy Kavanaugh finished 6th overall. Captain Tommy Wagner earned a medal by finishing 9th overall. Sophomore Danny Olsen broke the sophomore course record (18:12), and finished 10th overall to earn a medal for the varsity. In the sophomore race, the one-two punch of freshman Jack Connor (2nd overall) and sophomore Walter Fleming (3rd overall) led Marist to victory!
