The first Hawk Talk will feature Marist seniors who attended college programs, interned, worked, and /or volunteered during summer 2018. This is a great way to learn from our seniors and learn what the Explore Program is all about. The event is from 7-8pm tonight, Tuesday, September 18th. Explore students should attend, and all members of the Marist community are welcome.

Spanish Club: Did you know that Mexican Independence Day is NOT Cinco de Mayo? Spanish Club wants to commemorate The 15th of September with a "grito" competition, folkloric dances, and some trivia. Student tickets for the Marist vs Mother McAuley girls Volleyball game will be distributed during lunch mods today. They are free, limit one per student.
On Saturday, in the 18 team Homewood Flossmoor Golf Invite, sophomore Ben Reidy shot a 75 to win the individual championship.
Congratulations to the varsity soccer team on their recent success. The team played to a 0-0 draw against Carmel Mundelein on Saturday at home. John Kennedy had the shutout. Last night, the team won 5-0 at Nazareth. Ethan Fit scored two and Aidan Gleeson, Brendan Raftery and Jimmy Valek each added one. Clark Woodard and John Kennedy split the shutout. The team improved to 7-2-1 including 3-0-1 in conference play and heads to Benet tomorrow.
Tonight the program heads to Minooka for a state finals rematch against Zoey Seput and the Indians. Game time is 6pm tickets available at the door. Congrats to Abigail Callahan on being named Daily Southtown player of the week. Way to go, Abigail!
Boys Basketball Open Gym Schedule for next week: Open gyms will be held today, Tuesday (9/18) and Thursday 9/20. Tuesday will be from 2:45-4:30 in the Main Gym and Thursday will be 2:45-4:00 in the New Gym. All are welcome. Any questions see Coach Trendel.
