Daily Announcements 9/27/18

Attention all freshman and sophomore homeroom teachers:

Thank you for distributing the shadow sheets to students in your homeroom.

Please send all students who will have a shadow tomorrow immediately to the theatre for further instruction from Mrs. Brown.

Reminder to the Junior and Senior girls playing Powder Puff. Your first practice is tomorrow morning. Please bring your permission slip and $20 to the first practice. If you have any questions see Mr. Meyer or Mr. Brennan.

Seniors! Interested in a trip to Marquette on October 10th? Stop by Mrs. McArdle's office for a permission slip and more information. Space is limited.

Juniors & Seniors! Interested in a trip to University of Illinois on October 30th? Stop by Mrs. McArdle's office for a permission slip and more information. Space is limited. 

Are you interested in becoming a lawyer? Sign up for Lunch & Law, an in-school Hawk Talk with alum Colleen Couture '10 who is a third-year law student at Northwestern, during lunch mods on Monday, October 15th. Lunch will be provided. Sign up in Mrs. McArdle's office. 

Are you interested in pursuing a career in the medical field? Join the Explore Program for a field trip to Northwestern Medicine for a behind-the-scenes look in the evening on October 25th! Get a permission slip from the Explore office. Space is limited. 

Attention all SOPHOMORES Student Ambassadors:

 

There will be a meeting today immediately after school in the Theatre.  We will be discussing Open House and other upcoming events. All sophomore student ambassadors should be in attendance.  The meeting will conclude at 2:45 p.m.  See Mrs. Brown with any questions.

 

We are making dinner at the Ronald McDonald House Tuesday, October 9.  Come to the SLO for a permission form and see Mrs. Pochyly with questions.

Clubs

ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS! INTERESTED IN GOING TO SUNNY SPAIN FOR 2 WEEKS THIS SUMMER? Come learn from the 14 students who went last summer at our brief information meeting this coming Mon Oct 1st at 2:30pm in Rm211.

Any student interested in Billiards Clubs: the team will be having an informational meeting after school today in the cafeteria.

THE YEARBOOK CLUB meets today at 2:30 in computer room CS2. Come be part of the next edition of our book! New members are always welcome.

 

Spanish Club: Thanks to all those who came to celebrate Mexican Independence Day! This Friday we will be hosting a soccer match and picnic outside weather permitting. The picnic is BYOFood, but we will provide Jarritos, agua, and la horchata. To sign up or for more information, see Srta. Jorgensen or Sr. Arevalo.
