Marist High School is pleased to offer the Kairos program to members of the class of 2021. Before attending, we ask that a parent review the policies that will be in place in addition to the expectations for students outlined in our student handbook.
The following items are expressly forbidden on a Kairos retreat: hookahs, pipes, rolling tobacco, chewing tobacco, cigarettes, e-cigarettes, vape pens, alcohol of any kind, weapons, illegal drugs, and legal drugs not listed on the Permission and Medical Form. In addition, the Marist High School adult retreat leaders and the Retreat Center staff reserve the right to expand this list at any time during the retreat.
If a Kairos participant is found to be in possession of any of the above items, those items will be confiscated as contraband and turned over to the Dean for disciplinary consequences that may include suspension or expulsion from Marist High School. In addition, the participant (may) be asked to leave the retreat immediately at his own expense; transportation will not be provided.
Further, the participant will be held financially responsible for any damage to any property in the retreat center. Even if the participant did not cause the damage, if it is in the participant’s room, the participant will be held responsible. Final transcripts will be withheld until the repair and/or replacement costs of all damages are recovered.
Checking the boxes below indicates that both of you, parent/guardian and student, have read, understand, and agree to the policy listed above.
