Mission trip brings Marist students together

image2Twenty-eight Marist juniors and five faculty members responded to recent tornado damage in New Orleans last week.

These students did an amazing job helping the survivors.  Not only did they work hard, but they never complained.  The chaperones were able to see the face of God in each and every one of these participants as they truly helped heal a broken community.  The Marist group came together as a family in order to make Jesus known and loved.

"It was awesome," Ravi Majeti said."I wish I was still there."

After three days of working hard cleaning up tornado debris, we experienced Mass together at St. Louis Cathedral and then went to the NBA All Star Game.  Students worked hard, learned about different social justice issues, and further developed their relationship with God.

Marist offers two to three mission trips per year to domestic and international destinations.
