Marist will celebrate Vocation Awareness Week February 10 to 13 with a series of events.
Monday, February 10: Br. Luis Ramos and Br. Sam Amos have prepared a video about different vocations and the events for the week. This video will be played for all students during their advisory.
After school, all are welcome to a vocations talk led by Br. Al Rivera and Br. Brian Poulin, the directors of the Marist Brothers Vocation Office. The talk will take place in room 227 and Mexican food will be served.
Tuesday, February 11: A mini-vocation fair will be held during advisory periods in the breezeway. There there will be four tables: one for the Marist Brothers, one for the diocesan priests, one for the Sisters of Mercy, and one for the Archdiocese of Chicago's Office of Lay Ecclesial Ministry.
Wednesday, February 12: Students and their parents are invited to mass in the Brothers' Chapel at 7 p.m. followed by a reception with light refreshments in the Heritage Room. A number of Marist Brothers will be attending the event, including visitors from U.S. Province. The purpose of the event is to pray for and raise awareness of vocations in the Church, especially the Marist Brothers, but also including the diocesan priesthood, women's religious life, and lay ministry.
