God wants us!
If you took the time to write out all of the things in your life that you are thankful for, how long would that list be? If you then took that list and had to limit it to five things, how would you decide? Would you pick your family, or your friends, or the things that bring you joy in life? Would you write God on that list?
This Thanksgiving, we’re called to give thanks for God and everything good that He has brought into our lives. We need to take a minute and realize that even though we may blame Him for bad things that happen, He gives us so much that is good.
Last year, I attended the National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC) in Indianapolis. One of the speakers told us, “God does not need you, He wants you. He gives each one of us a purpose in life and He brings everything into our lives for a reason… because He loves us.”
We need God in our lives, but He wants us. God works in wondrous ways and grants us many wonderful things. Do not forget to include Him in your list of things you are thankful for this year.
