Wait for your soul…
There’s an old story about a group of adventurers who got together and planned an African safari. They saved their money, bought tickets, mapped out their trip, and when they arrived they hired an African guide and porters. They got up early in the morning on the first day to begin their trek deep into the jungle. They pressed hard that first day and covered a lot of ground.
When the sun went down, they pitched their tents and set up camp for the night. Early the next morning, the adventurers were ready to go again, eager with anticipation to get farther into the jungle and see some more wild animals. They noticed that the porters, however, would not move. In frustration, one of the adventurers went and asked the guide, "What’s the problem?" The guide informed him that they had gone too fast the first day, and that they were now waiting for their souls to catch up with their bodies.
Not a bad idea. Maybe you too need to look at your life last week.
Have you allowed your soul to catch up with your body, to restore life’s balance?
