Benjamin Franklin once said... “When the well runs dry, then we know the worth of the water.”
One of the things that I really miss about not being in church during Easter time is the Sprinkling Rite at Mass when the Priest or Deacon walks around the sanctuary blessing the congregation with holy water. It’s a simple ritual that is meant to remind us of our Baptism and the promises that were made on our behalf... and the promises that the Lord made to us as heirs to eternal life.
Holy water is living water. It quenches our thirst when our lives are running spiritually dry, like now. It sustains us in the midst of a crisis, like now. And one day, hopefully soon, it will bring us all back to life.
This Monday Minute is from Deacon Andy Neu, currently listening to Holy Water by We the Kingdom. Listen in at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7KLQ2AXQmtA
BTW... If you would like some Holy Water, call me. I know a guy. While you can't come to the church right now, the Church can come to you!
