On Wednesday, October 16 freshmen, sophomores, and juniors will participate in a special schedule. Seniors will not have school.
Freshmen will participate in activities all day called the First Year Experience and Retreat Day. They should arrive no later than 8:30 a.m. Freshmen should dress in clothing and shoes that allow for movement and activity. They will be dismissed at approximately 11:50 a.m.
Sophomores and juniors will take a standardized test. They should arrive to school by 8:30 a.m. in regular dress code with two sharpened #2 pencils (no mechanical pencils), calculator, and iPad. Testing room locations will be posted around the school. Additional testing information will be emailed to sophomore and junior parents.
Testing will end at approximately 12:00 p.m. Students will be dismissed at that time. School buses will leave Marist at 12:20.
Breakfast items will be available for purchase in the cafeteria before school. Lunch will not be served.
Seniors do not have school that day and are encouraged to use the day to visit a college campus. Seniors may also meet with college counselors from 8:30 to 11:00 a.m. to discuss applications, college essays, or plans for next year. Sign-up sheets for appointments are on the door of the conference room in the Guidance Office. Additional information will be emailed to senior students and their parents.
