Marist High School will hold is annual Relay for Life supporting the American Cancer Society on Saturday, March 7, 2019 from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. on March 8.
The committee sponsored a kick-off week January 21-24. On Monday students were invited to play Family Feud during lunch. On Tuesday, they took a chance at "pie in the face." Thursday, brought lip sync battles. On Friday, January 24, students were invited to dress down and wear purple for $3. Stickers were sold at school entrances before school. Relay committee members were available to assist in the sign-up process all week.
During the March event speakers will reflect on cancer's impact on their lives, a memorial service will be held, and other educational events will take place. Additionally, there will be games, music, and entertainment to keep everyone's energy high! Many students participate in small groups, and set up "camps" in the gym.
