Marist High School will hold is annual Relay for Life supporting the American Cancer Society on Saturday, March 3, 2017 from noon until midnight.
During the event speakers will reflect on cancer's impact on their lives, a memorial service will be held, and other educational events will take place. Additionally, there will be games, music, and entertainment to keep everyone's energy high! Many students participate in small groups, and set up "camps" in the gym.
In just six years, Marist has raised nearly $300,000 through this event. Marist is also the only Catholic school in Illinois to host its own Relay for Life. This event is planned and run by a committee of students who are dedicated to the cause.
Students who participate are asked to raise $110 in donations. Students can register online. See Mr. Meyer or Ms. Pochyly for more information.
