Welcome to Life Week

Jan 18, 2022 Student Life The Marist Staff

This week the Marist Pro-Life/Pro-Love Club is sponsoring Life Week, where it will be raising awareness about the various aspects of life that are often overlooked, underappreciated, and undervalued. The club shares that simply by being human, we all have an inherent dignity and worth, so it supports life in all stages from the womb to our earthly end. Often fear gets in the way, and sometimes we treat each other as “less than.”

Life Week Events

Diaper Drive

2-4The Pro-Life/Pro-Love Club is sponsoring a diaper drive to support families in need in the early stages of parenthood. Diapers of all sizes are needed and will be donated to local pregnancy centers. There will be boxes available in the Science Wing’s Collaboration Lounge, Champagnat Square, and outside the SLO to drop off diapers. Please bring them in by Friday, January 21st.

Bake Sale

1-1

The Pro-Life/Pro-Love Club will also be offering a bake sale during your lunch periods  on Thursday and Friday, where a variety of baked goods will be sold. Tables will be set up by the SLO entrance. The proceeds will go to the Nativity House of Lockport, a home for single mothers who have chosen to keep their babies, but have been cast out by their families.

Mass

At the end of the week, we welcome you to join the Pro-Life/Pro-Love Club on Friday morning at 7:30am for Mass in the Chapel.

Diaper Collection Status

Check here each day to see the status of our school’s collection to help new parents care for their children.
