Course Registration Guidelines
Course registration for the 2021-2022 school year will take place February 25 through March 5. Please take a moment to review the following information that explains the course registration process.
Students are encouraged to discuss course options, look at graduation requirements, and discuss their four-year plan with their parent(s) before their scheduled appointment. The Marist Course Guide is located in the Academics section of the Marist website.
Course Registration Process
Student meets with his/her counselor to review past performance, discuss the student’s four-year plan, and select courses for the 2021-22 school year. Beginning February 19, students can register for an appointment with their counselor here. Counselor meetings will run from February 22 through March 5.
STUDENTS: You need to register to meet with counselors before or after school, during a study hall, or during the opposite time your group meets. For example, a student in the A group can sign up for a counselor appointment in the morning while Group B is in class.
Following meeting with his/her counselor, a student will register on Skyward for his/her courses on his/her own time. Directions for utilizing Skyward and tips for each grade level can be found watching the videos found here.
In early March, after registration closes, a course selection approval form will be sent to parents via Skyward to approve your student’s selections for the 2021-2022 school year.
All grade levels will register at the same time and every effort will be made to place students in their first choice, including electives. Some electives have limited enrollment and placement will be based on seniority. Families will be contacted in late April if a student cannot be placed in their first choice.
The summer school course guide and registration for initial credit, enrichment, and credit recovery will also be open and available on the Marist website beginning Monday, February 22.
Please contact your child’s counselor if you have any questions about a specific course or academic placement after you review their course registration.
Please note: Marist has made slight modifications to our REDHAWK schedule, and will transition to an 8-period REDHAWKS schedule. The bell schedule for the 2021-2022 school year can be viewed here.
