Marist’s iPad Program

Technology Update

Marist is beginning a transition to school-purchased iPads to better support focused, purposeful learning. Beginning in the 2025–2026 school year, all students in the Class of 2030 will purchase their iPad through Marist so it can be set up with the proper educational apps, filters, and settings.
For the Class of 2030, click the button below to learn more.

For transfer students:
• Incoming 9th grade transfer students will receive a school-issued iPad.
• Transfer students entering the sophomore, junior, or senior levels will follow the Bring Your Own Device program.

Returning Students

Students in the sophomore, junior, and senior classes will continue with the Bring Your Own Device program during this transition. Their current devices remain acceptable for the upcoming school year.

Students should have a working iPad that is Wi-Fi only and supports a minimum iOS of 18.7.2 at the time of this posting. Note: the current iOS version is 26.1.

Minimum capacity size is 128GB; 256GB is recommended for personal devices.

iPad to have a personal Apple ID already configured for App download purposes.

A keyboard or case/keyboard combo is required for College Board testing.

A supported Apple Pencil is also required.

AppleCare+ coverage (warranty) is recommended.

Expectations for All Students

Our “Off and Away” phone policy and guidelines for responsible device use apply to every student. These expectations help maintain a safe, focused environment where technology supports learning rather than distraction.
