The Marist Math Team finished another successful season as 4th overall in the State and the top Catholic school. The team competed in the State Math Finals held at Illinois State University on Saturday, April 18th. Marist was the only Catholic school in the upper level division to qualify an entire team for the State competition after earning 5th place at Regionals.
Individual outstanding performances from Marist
- Fanchu Sun (Luna) ’28 (St. Gerald): placed 9th place individually amongst Geometry students
- Ken Dewes ’27 (St. Catherine of Alexandria): placed 7th amongst Junior Algebra II students
- Ryan Deskovich ’26 (St. Christina): placed 5th amongst Senior Precalculus students
- Hailey Dostal ’26 (Mount Greenwood) and Lucy Alford ’26 (Palos South): placed 4th amongst the Oral Presentation students
