Marist Announces Valedictorian & Salutatorian for the Class of 2025
Marist High School is proud to announce the Valedictorian and Salutatorian for the Class of 2025. Celia Lindokken (Central Middle School) has been named Valedictorian. Nathen Toth (Cardinal Joseph Bernardin) was named Salutatorian. We are so proud of Celia and Nathen for their hard work and dedication over the last four years.
Celia Lindokken – Valedictorian
Celia is a graduate of Central Middle School in Tinley Park.
On being named Valedictorian, Celia said “I was excited; it feels like a culmination of my years here.”
At Marist, she has been a member of the Marist Band, Jazz Band, Math Team, National Honor Society, and Italian National Honor Society. Celia’s favorite classes at Marist have been AP Chemistry and Italian. Celia earned a perfect score of 36 on the ACT and was honored by the mayor of Tinley Park for this accomplishment. She was also the recipient of The Michael Sullivan Family Foundation “Senior Year Scholarship for Excellence in Mathematics,” which covered full tuition and fees for her senior year! Celia will be heading to the University of Wisconsin- Madison in the fall to study food science.
“I’ve really enjoyed my years at Marist and look forward to the future feeling well prepared from my time here with the dedication of both my classmates and teachers to get me here,” said Celia.
Celia also carries on a remarkable family legacy as a third-generation Valedictorian. Her mother, Margy (Ortigara) Lindokken, graduated at the top of her class from Providence High School as Valedictorian in 1984. Going back even further, her grandmother, Cecilia (Tribbia) Ortigara, was the Valedictorian of St. Louis Academy on 116th and State Street in 1945. Celia’s achievement is not only a testament to her own hard work and dedication, but also a beautiful continuation of a proud tradition of academic excellence.

Nathen Toth – Salutatorian
Nathen is a graduate of Cardinal Joseph Bernardin in Orland Park.
On being named Salutatorian, Nathen said, “My initial reaction to being Salutatorian was a complete surprise. I knew I was in the running, but when Mrs. Dunneback called me down to her office, I was not expecting that to be the news.”
He is the Spanish National Honor Society President, a member of the National Honor Society board, a member of the Math Team, and a Student Ambassadors Officer. Nathen has also been a four-year member of the boys’ volleyball team and a three-year varsity player. He was a key player on the 2024 Boys’ Volleyball IHSA State Championship Team and was named the State Finals MVP! In 2024, Nathen was also named High School First Team All American. His favorite class at Marist was AP Chemistry. Nathen will be heading to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the fall and while he won’t declare a major until sophomore year, he plans to study either computer engineering or investment banking/finance.
“Marist has been amazing these past four years. I have no doubt that I am well prepared for college and beyond,” said Nathen.
We are so proud of Celia and Nathen!
